The first blog
Well, it's September 22nd, the day after my wife's 23rd birthday, and it's official, I'm a blogger...
Dana is hard at work, going to nursing school 4 days a week, and dealing with me the rest of the time. I just got hired at Big 5 Sporting goods as a manager trainee, soon to be an assistant manager.
Living here in SLO (San Luis Obispo) is both a blessing and a curse. We'll start with the curse... It's just tough to be so close, yet so far away from all of our friends and family. And now that I have a job, I'm sure we'll have even less opportunities to visit. And of course, one of the toughest things is being so far away from Disneyland. At least I don't like being far from Dland, I'm sure Dana misses it too, but I'm a little more insane about Dland than Dana is. I'm a freak, I know
Now the blessing, I for one love the R&R factor up here. After years of stressful/crazy jobs I finally have some time to breath. Big 5 sounds like a cakewalk compared to jobs in the past. Another great thing is how much Dana and I get to be together. Not that we don't like being with the Fam, we love that, but it's just good for us to be somewhat on our own. Also, it makes seeing the family and going to Dland just 1000 times better when we get the chance.
Well, off to plan a picnic for tomorrow and dinner for tonight. I'll blog to you later...
